Ladies Auxiliary
The Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Ladies Auxiliary is a women's group at the
church who gather together in the name of Christ ever month in order to enjoy
fellowship with each other, as well as to reach out to the community in name
of Christ and the church. Pictured to the left are 14 of the 15 members in the
Ladies Auxiliary. Starting at the front row, going left to right are Sisters
Bessie Perry, Kim Sumner, Mary Arnett, Betty Butler, Ann Clark, Phyllis
Morgan, and Nelda Parsons. Back row left to right is Sisters Sue Stewart,
Denise Lloyd, Leonna Parr, Deb Gase, Cora Stone Phyllis Hefner, and Pat
Rister.

There are several ministries in which the Ladies Auxiliary head, including the
church's food pantry. Although this is a ministry supported by the church, it is
headed up by the Ladies Auxiliary. During times of need, baskets (boxes) of
food are gathered together from the pantry, and are taken to families, and or
individuals who are in need.

Every year, the Ladies Auxiliary also have a spaghetti dinner in which the
proceeds go to help different ministries within the group. The proceeds
acquired from the dinner in 2007 went to help support the Youth Group and
their Project Love Alicia's House. The ladies also have a Christmas Party
every year.

Outside of good food and fellowship, each month's meeting has scripture
reading as well as a volunteer led devotional. If you are interested in
attending a meeting, you are encouraged to do so. Meetings are held on the
first Monday of the month in the Fellowship Hall. Contact President Deb Gase,
or Vice President Leona Parr if you have any questions.
The Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Ladies Auxiliary Moto
(Mission Statement)
God the Father loves me so much that He stepped from eternity and
broke into my world to express His love by sending His Son who
sacrificed Himself to cover my sins.  God did not extend Himself so I can
hobble along in spiritual defeat or stay trapped in a mire or a cage,
defining myself and my marriage by what has happened in the past or by
what others might or might not say.   Through Christ, I WILL NOT live in
spiritual defeat.  I WILL NOT ALLOW Satan a foothold in my life.  I WILL
NOT hover in a cage, terrified to step through the gateway of forgiveness.
I WILL EMBRACE THE SPIRITUAL FREEDOM CHRIST OFFERS.

I Love Lucy Returns
Written by Juan & Beth Camacho
A return from the popular play of 2006.
This time Lucy is expecting the Ricardo's
first child and Ricky decides to take one
last vacation before the baby comes. The
Mertz are along for the ride when Lucy
takes a wrong turn while driving and the
gang gets lost in Tennessee. Getting
thrown in jail, a little square dancing, and
an avalanche are just some of the chaotic
moments that occur in this story. With a
new supporting cast of characters and a
hilarious dialogue the story of Christmas
comes out as Lucy has her baby
unexpectedly.
Plays
An important ministry at the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church are "plays" which the talented members and youth perform. We have a yearly
Christmas play and periodacly we will perform an Easter or Spring play. Below you will find pictures and descriptions for some of the plays
that have been performed at the church over the years.
Oh Happy Days; The Musical
Written by Brain Daniels & Juan Camacho
This play was a musical based in a 50's diner
called J.C.'s Place. The diner plays host to kids in
a church youth group called the Do-gooder's where
they go to fellowship and hang out. But a band of
thugs called the Dragons, led by a former youth
group member Fozie, come to cause some trouble.
Through familiar 50's songs re-written with a
gospel message of Jesus Christ, each member of
the Dragons, one by one are won to Christ.
I Love Lucy
Written by Juan & Beth Camacho
A Comedic play based on the hugely popular
sitcom that starred Lucille Ball. The Ricardo's
get an unexpected visitor for the holidays
named Ernie Ford from Tennessee. Ernie
makes himself at home and doesn't seem to
want to leave and the Ricardo's, along with
the help of their next door neighbor's the
Mertz, try to come up with plans to get Ernie
to leave. At the end of the play there is a
twist that brings the story of entertaining
angels unaware.
Vacation Bible School
There isn't a more beloved ministry in the Church for  youngsters than Vacation Bible School. Bucyrus is known for having the best VBS around
and it shows from year to year by the number of youngsters who turn out for the week long skits, snacks, lessons, games, and crafts. Each
year there is a theme. Below you will find pictures with the theme for that year.

Summer Church Camp
For three days and two nights, the teenagers of the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church "rough it" for a
summer church camp called Survivor. The event is held at the household of Pastor Eric and wife Nancy
Boggs' house where the teenagers are separated into different groups and compete in daily games and
activities. There are church services each night with guest speakers invited to share special messages
with the teenagers. There is also a "fun" afternoon spent swimming, playing volleyball, and riding in
paddle boats at the Dogwood Resort in Mt. Gilead, OH. If you are interested in sending your child to
this life changing camp, please contact Sister Nancy Boggs who is director of the Camp.
Nursing Home Ministry
On the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm, the Bucyrus Free Will Baptist
Church has a short service at the Fairview Manor Nursing Home and rehabilitation
Center, formerly known as the County Home. Services have been ongoing at
Fairview Manor since July of 2009, but the Church was blessed to hold services at
the facility for many years back in the 1990's. Previously, we have also held
services at the Altercare Center and the Carlisle House. Each month one of the
singing groups are asked to participate in the service and or lead hymns for the
residents. Then a short message is brought by one of the ministers from the
Bucyrus Free Will Baptist Church. The unique thing about the services is that
following the end of the service, all the residents are given the opportunity to pray
with the Ordained Elders of the Church.
